The school holidays may be over but the flying kangaroo is keeping the vacation going with a massive sale on domestic flights.

There are over 1 million seats up for grabs via Qantas’ latest Red Tail Sale. Starting from $99 one-way in economy class, the fares cover more than 100 routes across travel periods in 2023 and 2024. Amongst which, over 40 routes are on sale from less than $150.

Qantas said this discount is about 30 per cent off normal prices.

The deals include Sydney to Ballina (Byron Bay) from $99, and Melbourne to Launceston from $99.

Melbourne travellers can escape to the Gold Coast from $135 one-way, or pop over to Sydney or Hobart from $139 one-way. Brissy to Sydney will set Qantas flyers back $139 one-way.

The sale started yesterday and runs until 3 May, or until sold out. Tickets can be brought via the Qantas website and COVID credits can be used.

The airfare includes checked baggage, free Wi-Fi, complimentary food and beverages and seat selection.
