Small ship cruising specialist, Cruise Traveller, has been appointed as the exclusive Australian and New Zealand representative for the luxury expedition line, Atlas Ocean Voyages.

Atlas Ocean Voyages operates three, luxe, state-of-the-art expedition ships that carry up to 198 passengers, with two more ships on order. The company has established itself as leader in luxury, boutique-ship expedition cruises that brings explorers on all-inclusive adventures to destinations that are out of reach with larger ships.

The company’s immersive nature and culture experiences embrace the very essence Antarctica, the Arctic, Northern Europe, the Mediterranean, Caribbean and South America.

Cruise Traveller managing director Joseph O’Sullivan said he was thrilled to sell an exciting new product like Atlas Ocean Voyages in Australia and NZ.

“Atlas Ocean Voyages is a fresh, new brand and through our extensive trade and consumer networks and by working with our retail agent partners, we plan to showcase the bold, intimate and in-depth experiences Atlas offers in special places around the world,” he said.

“As CLIA has reported in its latest figures, the small ship cruise market has expanded robustly and as experts in this space, Cruise Traveller is playing a pivotal role in navigating and sharing this growth with travel agents keen to capitalise on the segment’s rising potential,” he added.

The demand for small ship, boutique, expedition and ultra luxury cruises has, clearly, never been higher, driven by travellers’ desire to travel with less people to more unique destinations on more immersive itineraries.

“The unique, imaginative and eco-sensitive experiences Atlas Ocean Voyages has curated align perfectly with our ethos at Cruise Traveller of creating exceptional cruise experiences that offer depth, discovery, quality and enrichment, and we eagerly look forward to building their business and customer base throughout Australasia,” he said.

Atlas Ocean Voyages president and CEO, James Rodriguez, said: “We are excited to work closely with Joe O’Sullivan and his team to offer exceptional yachting expeditions to adventurous travellers in Antarctica, the Arctic, Mediterranean and South America. Our Head of International Sales, Bernard Carter, and I look forward to delivering outstanding expedition yachting experiences to adventurers throughout Australasia.”
