Cathy Freeman to speak at TravelManagers annual conference

    TravelManagers has unveiled its speaker lineup for this year’s three-day conference taking place on 12 September in Cairns. Delegates are unlikely to be disappointed by the offering with one of Australia’s most admired and respected athletes, a proud Kuku Yalanji woman, and Olympic champion Cathy Freeman named as a speaker.

    This year’s theme focuses on “Working Smarter”, with the opening address to be delivered by internationally accredited practitioner in mindfulness and meditation, Chelsea Pottenger.

    The opening keynote presentation at TravelManagers’ annual National Conference in September will be delivered by renowned mindfulness and meditation practitioner, Chelsea Pottenger.

    The conference will also focus on recent technology innovations that can help agents enhance their productivity. It includes a trade show with key partner suppliers, training sessions with TravelManagers’ national partnership office team, and various social functions.

    TravelManagers chief operating officer, Grant Campbell, said: “Our PTMs are busier than ever, but the price for such success can be high stress levels and a loss of work-life balance. Chelsea’s presentation aligns with the overall focus of this year’s conference, which aims to help PTMs to develop and refine the tools they need to reduce stress, tap into positive energy, and build resilience.”“From AI and online booking tools, to data-driven business insights and shareable content, the goal is to empower PTMs with the tools, skills and resources they need to navigate and embrace change in a rapidly evolving industry,” Campbell adds.

    He also predicts that the closing Q&A seesion with Freeman is sure to be the highlight of the three-day conference for many attendees.
