Uber is launching a boat service in tourist hotspots around Europe in response to growing demand, bringing with the most luxurious mode of water transport, Uber Yacht.

Other headliners in Uber’s summer boat series include a first-of-its-kind water transport service in Venice’s Laguna, speed boats by the hour in Greece’s most popular islands, and cruises along the river Seine in Paris.

The service allows guests to pre-book a private yacht for the day directly via the Uber app. It departs from Ibiza town marina daily at noon and offers groups of up to eight people the opportunity to sail around the white isle in a luxurious Sunseeker Yacht.

Each eight-hour trip comes with its own personal skipper, a complimentary bottle of champagne, and locally sourced artisan snacks. Transfers to and from the yacht from anywhere on the island are also included, staying true to Uber’s style.

Uber Yacht will be available to pre-book via Uber Reserve in Ibiza starting on 26 July and a minimum of 24 hours in advance, with the product available between 3 and 20 August.

The first-of-its-kind water transport service in Italy’s most popular destination, Venice, will launch on 3 July. Customers can use the Uber app to summon a ‘Limo Boat’ on-demand to get around the Venetian Lagoon at the tap of a button.

Travellers visiting Paris can book an all-electric boat to enjoy an Uber Cruise, a free one-hour private tour down the river Seine with their friends or family. While on the Cruise, they will take in breathtaking views while sipping on champagne.

“At Uber we want to give our customers the opportunity to go anywhere, wherever they are travelling,” EMEA Mobility at Uber Vice President, Anabel Diaz, said.

“This summer we are adding a series of bucket-list worthy nautical experiences to the Uber app in some of Europe’s hottest destinations, helping holidaymakers make the most of their trip on the high seas. Whether it’s sailing around Ibiza in your own private yacht or experiencing the Venetian Lagoon by boat, we’re thrilled to add some Uber magic to our customers’ holidays this summer.”
