The Singapore Tourism Board has created a new “Experience Zone” at its AIME stand this year, to convince planners of why they should choose the lion city for their next business event.
It will feature a live interactive sand art performance by Singaporean artist Stephanie Stacey Lee which will depict the destination’s food, culture and architecture through sand.
The Experience Zone aims to offer AIME attendees an insight into Singapore’s wide array of creative and team-building activities for MICE groups.
Dubai will lead a delegation of 27 hotels and ground operators to the Asia-Pacific Incentives & Meetings Expo (AIME), its 16th consecutive year at the show.
The participation comes at a time when the sector is "thriving" in Dubai and when the Emirate’s tourism industry has seen record growth from the Australia and New Zealand market, according to director of Dubai Tourism and Commerce Marketing Australia and New Zealand Julie King.
“The business events sector remains an important segment of Dubai’s tourism industry,” she said. “Presently, with a hotel room inventory of 84,000 and an objective to increasing this to between 140,000 and 160,000 by 2020, the Emirate has state-of-the-art conference and exhibition facilities, a fast and efficient rail public transport system, along with a large host of exciting attractions.”
For the chance to win a Louis Vuitton travel bag or an LV voucher to the value of $2,190, AIME delegates should make their way to the Rydges Hotels & Resorts Stand (#1528) to meet the executive teams from AHL Hospitality.
"AIME is the perfect opportunity for AHL to showcase its extensive corporate services and business travel offerings, which spans across meetings and events, conferences and an array of accommodation offerings," AHL Group managing director David Seargeant said.
