AOT general manager, Government Services, Rohan Moss told Travel Today it will be “business as usual” for the company in spite of QBT winning its bid as the sole provider for travel management services last week.
Moss spoke with Travel Today this morning saying the company’s services to the book domestic accommodation for over 100 Federal Agencies and Departments will remain intact, despite the travel management services downsizing from previously five TMC’s to one.
“Depending on the government agency they can choose to book direct with QBT or via AOT,” Moss said.
“It doesn’t affect the accommodation services.”
“There is no change,” Moss said.
“AOT’s Government Services Division provides Government Agencies access to the largest range of Australian accommodation providers. Agencies do this directly through our website and call centre or via their Travel Management Company, who access AOT's inventory,” the company’s website states.
QBT was appointed as the sole provider of travel management services to each of the 142 Australian Government agencies for a minimum of four years on Friday.
