Air Mauritius has altered its commission structure in Australia in a move that will see agents benefit on one hand, but lose out on another.
The carrier said it will make its fuel surcharge commissionable from November 1 with retailers to claim the commission via BSP.
But it will also reduce commission on all published fares from the same date from 9% to 5%.
The new rate applies to business and economy fares.
“There is no change to the fare structure and fuel surcharge will continue to be collected as YQ surcharge,” Air Mauritius said in a statement.
