AirAsia has taken “corrective measures” and blamed an IT issue for a pricing glitch which prompted Australian regulators to start legal proceedings in the federal court.

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) accused the carrier of displaying prices that excluded taxes and charges.
AirAsia said in a statement that it “always seeks to conduct its business fairly and in an ethical and proper manner and in full compliance with all applicable laws”.
The airline said corrective measures were taken as soon as it became aware of the matter, the result of “an IT issue in September 2011”.
