Airlines including Qantas, Virgin Australia and Jetstar will help cricket fans affected by changes to Australia's Test schedule made after the death of Phillip Hughes.

Qantas has also put on additional flights to Coffs Harbour to help people to get to Hughes' hometown of Macksville, on the NSW mid-north coast, where the 25-year-old will be farewelled in a funeral on Wednesday.

"Options are available for Qantas customers who are booked to travel and wish to make changes to their flights as a result of the changes to the Test schedule, including re-booking with no change fee," a Qantas spokesperson said.

The airline says customers should contact their original booking agent or Qantas to discuss options.

Virgin Australia has also come to the assistance of cricket fans.

"Virgin Australia is waiving all changes fees for customers that need to change their flights for the Brisbane, Adelaide or Sydney Test matches," a spokesperson said.

Jetstar is offering customers the option of re-booking at no charge or a refund voucher for the 1st Test, now to be played in Adelaide starting next Tuesday, and is considering options for the remainder of the schedule.

The much-loved cricketer's death two days after he was struck by a ball during Sheffield Shield match on November 25, has sparked an outpouring of grief around the cricketing world and further afield.

Cricket Australia confirmed on Monday night that Australia's four-Test series against India had been rejigged to give players time to grieve following Hughes' funeral, with the Adelaide now to host the first fixture from December 9.

The Brisbane match will now be played from December 17-21, before the traditional Boxing Day Test in Melbourne.

The fourth Test in Sydney has been delayed a few days and will start on January 6.

CA has also announced that pre-purchased tickets will be honoured for the revised Tests, and that full refunds are available.
