My Kitchen Rules semi-finalists Luke Hines and Scott Gooding have signed on as official Santa Monica ambassadors after a recent visit to the beachside destination.

The Santa Monica Convention & Visitor’s Bureau (SMCVB) recruited the pair, who shot to fame after competing in the 2013 cooking show My Kitchen Rules, with their key objective to show Aussies that healthy food can still taste amazing.

It’s no surprise then that the active lifestyle and constant sunshine at Santa Monica enticed the two Bondi personal trainers to return to the outdoor destination.

“From the flying trapeze on the Santa Monica Pier to working out at the Original Muscle Beach, Santa Monica is brimming with unique ways to embrace the health and wellness scene it’s famous for,” Hines said.

To kick off the ambassadorship, SMCVB welcomed Hines and Gooding to Santa Monica as guest Instragrammers for its @seesantamonica handle.

The pair brought their laidback Aussie beach style and love for healthy eats to Santa Monica and provided social media fans with a few wanderlust images of the beachfront destination.

“Santa Monica is at the forefront of organic, sustainable and healthy food, which is one the many reasons I feel so at home there,” Gooding explained.

“The farmers’ market is world-class and there are so many inspiring chefs catering to health conscious travellers.”
