Tourism Australia led a 30-strong delegation of exhibitors to annual New Zealand trade expo PAICE yesterday – its sixth year of sponsoring the event.

The event, held at SKYCITY Auckland’s Convention Centre, targets NZ-based professionals who organise offshore conferences, events and incentives.

Australian exhibitors included the Palmer Coolum Resort and the Sebel Pier One.

“The opportunity to showcase Australian products reinforces the uniqueness, diversity and quality of product and experiences that Australia offers and is a key reason for our continued sponsorship of this excellent event,” TA NZ general manager Jenny Aitken said.

“The business case for staging a conference or incentive event in Australia is strong – Australia has a distinguished track record of hosting large-scale events and international conventions and is a world-class host.”

She highlighted Australia’s accessibility, affordability, security, diversity and climate as key drawcards for the NZ market.
