China Southern Airlines has signed a deal to become the sponsor of a new Twenty20 charity cricket series between Australia and India as the carrier continues to build its brand awareness in the local market.
The China Southern Airlines Tournament will debut in Sydney in October with Cricket NSW and the Mumbai Cricket Association competing for the NSW Maharashtra Cricket Cup.
“With daily connections between Sydney and Delhi, the airline is proud to further forge the strong sporting bond between the two states,” general manager Australia/New Zealand Henry He said.
