Consumers overwhelmed by the number of options available online are the target market for MSC Cruises' new 2012 Signature Series of European packages. Managing director Lynne Clarke said these people wanted a package that was simple with one point of call for booking. "Due to our preferred status with a number of air and land suppliers in Europe, we are in a fortunate position to package all-inclusive itineraries at very competitive rates," she said.

The Signature Series includes four fully inclusive packages: the 14-night Tuscany Discovery, the 21-night Celtic Kingdoms and Norwegian Fjords, the 27-night Mediterranean and Black Sea Odyssey, and the 22-night Treasures of the Mediterranean.

In other news, Royal Caribbean International has announced that Liberty of the Seas, Navigator of the Seas and Serenade of the Seas will join Independence of the Seas and Adventure of the Seas in 2013, to sail in European waters. This latest deployment opening offers 121 sailings on 25 itineraries, calling at 30 ports. Among the trips are seven-night Eastern Mediterranean itineraries on Navigator of the Seas and 12-night Mediterranean Greek Isle cruises on Serenade of the Seas.

Meanwhile, P&O Cruises World Cruising has released its 2013-14 Europe program featuring seven new ports of call, a range of new themed cruises and the chance to experience the Northern Lights onboard the Oriana. Among the new ports in the 2013-14 Europe program are the Swedish port town of Karlskrona, and Sarande, a resort town on Albania's Ionian Coast. Themed cruises include Music Festivals at Sea, Food and Drink cruises and Strictly Come Dancing trips.

And Silversea Cruises is now selling its 2013 Silver Whisper World Cruise. Departing Los Angeles on January 5, 2013, it will visit 52 destinations in 28 countries. Destinations include French Polynesia, New Zealand, Australia, Asia, India, Sri Lanka, West Africa, Central America and the Caribbean, with the journey finishing in Fort Lauderdale on May 1, 2013.
