The Exhibition and Event Association of Australasia (EEAA) has appointed Brad Booth from Moreton Hire as the inaugural chairperson of its Young Stars steering committee.
Making the announcement last Thursday, EEAA general manager Joyce DiMascio said Booth’s commitment to the program landed him the role, in addition to his key role in launching the initiative last year.
“He will be an excellent ambassador for the program as he is passionate about the industry and works around Australia presenting the value of exhibitions to clients,” she said.
The 2013 program, which aims to promote networking and mentoring among younger members, will kick off in Brisbane at the RNA Showgrounds on April 23.
Meanwhile, EEAA has announced that Dan Gregory from the Gruen Transfer and Fairfax Media chief executive Greg Hywood will present at the 2013 EEAA Leaders Forum next month.
Kieran Flanagan, who previously held a post with AWARD creative school, will also lead a two-day executive coaching program to help organisers, venues and suppliers to improve their business fitness.
The EEAA Leaders Forum will be held at the Gibraltar Hotel Bowral in the NSW Southern Highlands on April 16-17.
