New Star Alliance carrier, EVA Air, will operate several flights to Sydney in July ahead of a permanent schedule which is expected to begin later this year.
The Tawainese airline, which already operates to Brisbane, is set to operate flights from Sydney on Tuesday July 3, 10 and 17 and on Friday July 6 and 13.
The A330 aircraft will operate from Taiwan into Sydney the previous day.
Sources said EVA Air is looking to capitalise on the major school holiday period in Taiwan in July.
Plans were being made to operate a permanent schedule later this year.
