Emirates hosted 70 Canberra consultants last week for a concert by the Sydney Symphony Orchestra at the Llewellyn Hall, ANU.
Regional manager for NSW and ACT, Tim Harrowell, underlined the airline's commitment to its trade partnerships.
"It's the travel trade that delivers around 80% of our revenue in Australia, and the ACT continues to grow as an important feeder-region for Emirates to Sydney, where we'll soon have a second daily A380 service," he said.
The evening also provided the opportunity to introduce the agents to Byron Caygill in his new role as sales executive for Canberra.
Emirates has been the principal partner of the Sydney Symphony for 11 years, with the concert part of a regional tour featuring 65 Sydney Symphony and Sydney Symphony Sinfonia musicians along with the orchestra's assistant conductor, Jessica Cottis.
