Emirates Australian head, Barry Brown, is to relocate to Dubai to take up a senior commercial role for the airline as part of a management restructure.

He will become divisional senior vice president commercial operations east, a role that will see Brown oversee the Gulf region, Middle East, West Asia and Indian Ocean, Far East and Australasia.

Brown, who joined the airline in 2010, will report to Thierry Antinori, executive vice president and chief commercial officer.

“Emirates is now working to source the best possible candidate to step into his shoes in Australasia,” an Emirates spokesperson said.
