Euroscape rises from the ashes

Euroscape, the specialist wholesaler which collapsed in 2009 amid a cash flow crisis, has risen from the ashes and resumed trading under new owners.

The business and trading name has been acquired by Melbourne-based European Travel Experts Pty Ltd with bookings now being taken.
Previous Euroscape majority shareholder and managing director Iva Dalco has been retained as “advisor to management and product development”.
Euroscape closed down in September 2009 after failing to secure funds to keep the business trading.
The economic climate at the time, crippling exchange rates, swine flu and high European prices all contributed to extreme trading conditions and led to its demise, Dalco said at the time.
It had been trading for nine years.
Euroscape will use its former reservation system and operate “through the internet”. Travel agents can register online and “start to plan itineraries and obtain quotes”, the business said. It has 3000 properties online “with more products being added daily”.
