The travel industry is reeling from the shock death of S2i Communications chief executive Wayne Tregaskis in a tragic boating accident in Sydney on Thursday, January 12.
Tregaskis enjoyed a long career in the travel industry which saw him work as director of communications at Qantas and handle travel and tourism accounts at George Patterson Bates where he was group account director.
This was followed by a brief period as partner at start-up digital agency Hothouse before becoming co-founder of online insurance firm Worldnomads.com in 2002 when he also founded S2i.
S2i account director Lyn Tan said: “Wayne shall forever be remembered not only for the joy and laughter he has brought into all of our lives, but also for his generosity and strong business acumen.”
A celebration of Tregaskis’ life will be held at the Dalton Chapel, St. Ignatius College, Tambourine Bay Road, Riverview on Thursday January 19 at 3pm.
His family have requested that people “perform a random act of kindness” in his memory.
Meanwhile, S2i continues operations as usual.
