Fiji is again battening down the hatches as a tropical depression approaches the islands.

The National Weather Forecasting Centre has issued a strong wind warning for the west of the main island of Viti Levu, the Mamanuca and Yasawa Islands, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands.

Heavy rain and squally thunderstorms are expected with the possibility of more flooding.
A help desk is being set up at Nadi International Airport and while international services are still operating, some outer island flights may be affacted.

South Sea Cruises/Awesome Adventures has cancelled its full and half day cruises while Blue Lagoon Cruises has cancelled its four day Yasawa Island cruise which was due to depart today.

Captain Cook Cruises seven day and day cruises are continuing to operate as normal.
