Flight Centre has walked away from a commercial deal with the AOT Group, saying it can provide domestic product through in-house brands Infinity and quickbeds.
The retailer said its decision not to renew a supplier contract for 2012/13 followed the growth of its wholesale and product contracting. It could now offer “comparable product” to AOT, Flight Centre said.
The company said it also wants to strengthen its direct relationship with hotels and tourism bodies.
Chief operating officer Melanie Waters-Ryan said there may be “further adjustments” as its in-house business expands but added it did not anticipate “significant change within our overall wholesale supplier stable”.
