The Radisson Resort Gold Coast will be rebranded Mercure Gold Coast Resort from December 18, making it Accor’s 200th Australian property.
The 308-room property which features conference facilities for up to 700 delegates, marks the French hotel firm’s first venture into the Gold Coast mid-market.
Accor chief operating officer Simon McGrath said the new addition was a “fitting hotel” to mark the milestone for the group.
“For Accor it is a very strategic new addition to the network, bith because it represents a significant landmark for Accor’s expansion in Australia, and also because it adds to the group’s portfolio in the Gold Coast,” he said.
“The addition of the Mercure Resort will allow us to cater for growing demand in the mid-market, especially for conferences, events and groups.”
Accor has been appointed to manage the resort by GC Hotel Management.
