The first ever Helloworld Frontliners Conference, which brought together 529 travel agent partners and suppliers to Adelaide, wrapped up last night with a Christmas-themed gala awards event.
The three-day conference emceed by The Morning Show's Steve Jacobs also included inspiring keynote sessions from Australian football legend, Harry Kewell, sailing champ as well as former Young Australian of the year, Jessica Watson, and motivational speaker and body language expert, Anthony Bonnici.
"We are creating the future of travel and our Frontliners Conference is a significant platform for us to share knowledge and opportunities across our very important customer facing staff," Helloworld ceo, Elizabeth Gaines said.
During the conference agents were invited to bid welcome to a "new day" – a core theme of the proceedings, which was then dubbed "new way" for Helloworld agents.
"As a network, we have already achieved so much in the past year and events like Frontliners give us a chance to truly acknowledge our frontline staff's role in this success. It's a time to celebrate what has already been a fantastic year, and to start setting personal and business goals for the years to come," Gaines said.
Agents enjoyed events at the Art Gallery of South Australia hosted by AAT Kings and South Australian Tourism Commission and a Bollywood inspired pop-up function at Royal Raj Raquet Club, hosted by key supplier sponsors, Qantas Holidays, Viva Holidays, The Cruise Team, Ready Rooms, Rail Tickets and Travel Indochina.
Closing remarks from Head of Associate Networks, David Padman told agents to "take back" learnings from the conference to store managers and customers alike.
"It's what you do next counts. It's important with these things to try to extend that excitement and these learnings and take it back to our businesses," he said.
The conference will move to an earlier period next near in Cairns and will commence on 31 July 2015.
