Heron Island's September school holiday programs have been expanded to cater for more kids.
The Junior Rangers program has been expanded to be more experiential and immersive into the natural wonderland that exists on, in and around the island and its pristine waters. There are now two options for children ages 6 to 12:
– The original 1.5 hour Junior Rangers program
– The new Junior Rangers Plus
Guests can pre-book these sessions with the resort.
This new 4.5 hour program will take children on an interactive and hands on journey to explore, experience and gain a greater understanding of the intricate eco-system of Heron Island. They will experience reef walks and tours, visit the research station, feed fish and particiapte in evening plankton workshops and astronomy star gazing.
The program also includes beach cricket, kite flying, beach races and trivia nights, to test the children on what they discovered during the day will provide great social interactions and create life long memories.
DATES: 20 September – 5 October 2014
$75 for one child $140 for 2 children or $180 for 3 children – all part of one family.
