The deputy chairman of the International Cruise Council Australasia (ICCA) has urged more Travellers Choice agents to become cruise experts.
Don Clark told the group’s shareholder conference that only 50% of the network’s stores have an ICCA accredited consultant of Master.
“The tools have been given to you, the platform is there but you have to do something about it,” he told them.
Clark said ICCA will launch its introduction to cruising training module online in 2013 with other modules to follow.
Urging agents to “take the first step”, he said: “Confidence comes with knowledge and ICCA can give you that knowledge…but you have to take the first step.
“Cruising is not a one minute wonder. It is here to stay.”
