The team at Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre (BCEC) has confirmed more than 28 international meetings over the last 12 months, with the medical, science and energy sectors leading the program.
The events include the home-grown Asia Pacific Symposium on Electrochemical Storage and Conversion in February and the International Mesostructured Materials Symposium scheduled for August 2015.
"International experts from the medical and material sciences, energy, horticulture, education and the environment will visit Brisbane, many for the first time, bringing with them a wealth of knowledge and expertise," BCEC said in a statement.
The events, expected to generate more than $100 million for the local economy, are in many cases the result of a collaborative effort between BCEC, Brisbane Marketing and other city convention partners.
