Jetset Travelworld has ditched all its in-house cruise operations and replaced it with The Cruise Team, a newly-created company within JTG’s wholesale division.

Harvey’s Choice Cruising and Travelscene Cruise Holidays will be among the brands to disappear as the group consolidates all cruise operations into one wholesaler.

Cruise product will also be removed from Qantas Holidays.

The Cruise Team general manager Alastair Fernie said: “The Cruise Team is the result of a consolidation of our cruise operations across JTG and provides the platform to really harness the growth in this exciting market sector.”

In a further development within JTG, a ‘Selections’ program has been produced exclusively for Travelscene agents in collaboration with Qantas Holidays.

Due for launch on December 1, the program will feature 110 hotels and resorts around the world and feature added extras including room upgrades, late check-out and arrivals gifts.

An 80-page “coffee table” style brochure will be produced along with a micro site.

JTG wholesale general manager Michael Londregan said it will take the relationship between Qantas Holidays and Travelscene “to a whole new level”.

“At the same time it will provide our key partners with an opportunity to join us at the table and strengthen their own connection with Travelscene’s retail distribution network,” he said.
