Jetstar’s domestic load factors soared more than nine percentage points in January as demand climbed 8.2% but capacity fell 3.3%.
Loads hit 85.6% compared to January 2011 while the number of passengers carried increased 4.3% to just over one million.
Qantas International saw increases in passengers, demand (measured in revenue passenger kilometres) and capacity of 3.6%, 3% and 3.4% respectively. Loads slipped 0.3 points to 86.1%.
