Rail Plus is on the hunt for a new chief executive following the resignation of David Stafford.
He will step down on December 20 after eight years in the role but will remain on a consultancy basis until a replacement is found. Joe Fekete, a financial management advisor to the Rail Plus board, will take on the CEO role in an interim capacity.
Chairman Keryn Smith paid tribute to Stafford. “David has overseen a period of extraordinary growth for Rail Plus which under his guidance has expanded beyond its traditional European focus to now offer point-to-point fares, rail passes and luxury train journeys across the globe,” he said.
“At the same time he has ensured that Rail Plus continually sets new benchmarks for customer-service by automating the process of booking rail. “This has provided unrivalled levels of convenience and efficiency for our valued travel partners.”
