Baillie Lodges is in talks with Voyages Indigenous Tourism Australia over taking over management of Longitude 131.
The upmarket boutique tented property, at Uluru, has high occupancy but Voyages believe it may need a specialist focus that Baillie’s could provide.
“Negotiations are underway and we expect a conclusion within the next few months,” Voyages Indigenous Tourism Australia managing director Koos Klein said.
Voyages said the “an association” with Baillie’s could create additional opportunities for indigenous employment in Baillie’s other properties, which include Southern Ocean Lodge on Kangaroo Island.
“At this stage there are no details to disclose, however, it and when we finalise an agreement with Baillie Lodges we will release details to the market. Until then it is business as usual at the property and all sales and marketing enquiries should continue to be directed to Voyages.”
