Magellan Travel Group will welcome a further three new members to its growing network on November 1, as its growth strategy gets underway.

The newest additions have been named as Sydney’s Inspired Travel Worldwide and South Australian firm Travel Superstore, along with Cathie Rice Travel in Western Australia who makes the shift from Travelworld.

The signings take Magellan’s membership to 71, with that figure to rise to 74 across 91 outlets by January 1.

“We are thrilled to have Travel Agents of such stature, experience and reputation joining the group, which further cements our place as the leading group for high performance, high achieving Independent Agents in Australia,” chief executive Andrew Macfarlane said.

At the recent Magellan annual conference, Macfarlane revealed plans to grow the group to more than 100 “high end” leisure and business travel agents with a combined total transaction value (TTV) of $1 billion by 2017.
