Serviced apartment firm Quest has revealed plans to build 10 new properties across New South Wales by 2014, boosting its room supply in the state by more than 70%.
Chairman Paul Constantinou confirmed work will start this year on five new properties at Albury, Shellharbour, Nowra, Orange and Liverpool. Construction on a further five will commence next year.
With the new additions, Quest will target business travellers who spend on average four or more nights away from home for work.
"This investment follows the increasing need by business travellers for accommodation in the state's regional and suburban hubs where traditional accommodation options are no longer meeting their needs," Constantinou said.
The firm currently operates 21 properties in NSW. This year, it will also open three new properties in Queensland, one in outer Melbourne, one in regional Victoria and another in the Adelaide CBD.
