Details of the speakers lined up to appear at the Exhibitions and Event Association of Australia 2013 conference have been revealed ahead of next Tuesday’s event featuring some big names from Australia’s marketing sector.
Tim Burrowes of Mumbrella, Al Crawford of Clemenger BBDO, Scott Davis of MJW and Harvey Stockbridge of Informa Exhibitions will all offer their insights into how the industry can capture more marketing dollars.
EEAA chief executive Joyce DiMascio said she was thrilled with the line-up.
“We have never had marketing speakers of this calibre.” she said. “We’ll be exploring the challenge of how to get marketing strategists and planners to include exhibitions in their clients’ marketing plans.”
In addition, the conference will look at the latest trends in data-driven marketing, with ADMA chief executive Jodie Sangster to address the issue, with ADMA lawyer Daad Soufi will explain how the industry must act to remain compliant with the change of privacy laws next year during a targeted workshop.
The program will also see exhibition directors discuss the “fine line” they walk in their “complex stakeholder and partner world”, DiMascio added, with Paul Baker of Reed Mining Events, Minnie Constan of Diversified Exhibitions and Tony Francis of Informa Exhibitions all on the agenda.
The event will be followed by the 2013 Awards for Excellence gala dinner at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre – the last time it will be held at the venue before its closure.
