The first reconfigured Qantas A380 will re-enter service next week with the aircraft capacity rising by 25 to 484.

An additional 30 economy seats have been added, taking cabin capacity to 371, while business class has been reduced from 72 to 64. Premium economy will rise from 32 seats to 35 with the number of first class suites unchanged at 14.

“The configuration better suits customer demand on long haul legs,” a spokeswoman said.

Twelve A380s will be reconfigured by April next year.
