Rail Europe has confirmed Ingrid Kocijan of Rail Plus will become its new manager Australasia from April 22, filling the role vacated by Richard Leonard earlier this year.
Leonard departed the company to join Adventure World in the newly created role of head of product in mid-February.
Kocijan has worked with Rail Europe distribution partner Rail Plus for eight years across numerous roles – most recently as assistant manager for sales and marketing.
Rail Europe commercial director Florence Pasquier welcomed Kocijan on board to spearhead the company’s development in the Australia and New Zealand markets.
“After a rigorous selection process, Ingrid proved an outstanding candidate for this role,” she said.
“Not only is her extensive experience in, and appreciation of rail travel an important advantage, this position is also a natural transition for her from her previous role. We look forward to having Ingrid in our team.”
