Rail Plus has appointed James Dunne as its new Melbourne-based chief executive, effective March 17.
He replaces David Stafford who stepped down in December after eight years in the role.
With more than 15 years of industry experience, Dunne has worked in senior management positions for companies including Singapore Airlines and Austrian Airlines. Most recently, he was Singapore Airlines’ state manager for NSW/ACT.
Chairman Keryn Smith described Dunne as the ideal person to lead the Australasian rail specialist.
“Throughout his career James has demonstrated a passion for nurturing and guiding talented and dedicated teams in order to optimise business performance,” he said.
“At the same time he has a rare ability to forge strong and enduring relationships with valued travel industry partners and key stakeholders.
“His proven skills and experience will ensure Rail Plus continues to set the benchmark when it comes to delivering an unequalled range of rail products and an unmatched level of customer service.”
