South African Airways will today resume services between Johannesburg and Nairobi following a blaze which led the closure of Jomo Kenyatta Airport.
An additional flight and wide-body aircraft to be deployed to carry passengers, including a number of Australians, affected by the disruptions.
“We have been able to re-arrrange flights for all passengers affected and look forward to ensuring everyone can resume their travel plans, to and from this important tourist destination” Tim Clyde-Smith, SAA’s Country Manager for Australasia, said.
Agents have until close of business on Tuesday August 13 to send in their final submissions to be considered for the 17th Avis Travel Agent Scholarship.
Created to recognise excellent customer service, this year's scholarship includes a range of educational and travel-related prizes, including two Qantas Business Class return tickets to New York, six nights’ luxury accommodation in Manhattan and $10,000 worth of free study at Southern Cross University’s School of Tourism and Hospitality Management.

Scenic Tours has confirmed its new space-ship, Scenic Jade, will sail along the Rhine, Main and Danube rivers in 2014.
The sailing dates, not included in the operator's 2014 European River Cruise program, will take place from May 14 to November 12, with the last departing on October 29.
