Emirates will expand its European network with a new daily flight to Oslo, Norway, from September 2 marking its third Scandinavian gateway.

Shangri-La Hotels has confirmed its property at The Shard, London will open on May 6, occupying levels 34 to 52 of the 72-storey building.
Located on the historic South Bank of the River Thames in the 306-metre-high, glass-clad Shard, Shangri La Hotel at The Shard will be the Hong Kong-based hotel group’s third property in Europe, following debuts in Paris in 2010 and Istanbul in 2013.
It will be the tallest hotel in Western Europe and the first high-rise hotel in London.
French cruise line Compagnie du Ponant is offering a single supplement option for solo travellers on all 2014 and 2015 voyages.
Some cruises currently incur no single supplement charge at all, with others priced from 15% and up. The single supplement varies by availability and voyage.
Ponant advised that early enquiries will secure the best possible rate available with a limited number of single cabins available on any voyage.
