Qantas has announced that from August 2015 the airline will fly daily to Tokyo’s Haneda airport, making Qantas the only international carrier to operate direct services between Australia and Haneda.
The new service will be in addition to the airline’s daily services to Narita, with a couple of schedule changes potentially in the line-up for the Narita service so that the combined services provide better flexibility for customers.
The services to Haneda are expected to be on sale before the end of the, with the time slots set to be around peak times, with an evening departure out of Haneda to Australia, and a morning service arriving from Australia into Haneda.

Virgin Australia Holdings Limited (Virgin Australia) has confirmed that Tiger Airways Holdings Limited shareholders have given the go ahead for Virgin Australia’s proposed acquisition of the remaining 40% of shares in Tiger Airways Australia from Tiger Holdings.
