Former Virgin Australia general sales manager and Creative Holidays managing director Justin Montgomery has been named as joint MD of Travel the World.

He will share the role with existing MD Andrew Millmore who said the appointment will position the company for growth.

 

River cruise operator Tauck will add two newbuilds to its fleet of European riverboats next year, taking its tally of ships to six. The new vessels will start service in March and June of 2014 with a further four river cruise itineraries to be added to its European program for next year.

 

 

Japan Holidays has added a new tour to its 2012 program with a 16-night wildflowers, walks and wonders of Japan tour due to depart Tokyo on June 2.

 

Small group touring specialist Back-Roads Touring has reported a surge in bookings in the final quarter of 2012 for the UK and Europe with a 120% increase in passengers and 106% rise in revenue compared to the same quarter in 2011.

 

Hahn Air Lines has added Bolivian carrier Aerocon to its list of partner airlines. The airline operates a "dense domestic network", Hahn Air said.
