Adventure operator Peregrine has launched its 2014 Arctic brochure with earlybird savings of 25% on bookings made before July 31.

New product includes a Greenland to Churchill tour which travels "into the depths of the Arctic", Greenland and Canada's High Arctic voyage and Baffin Island Explorer via Fury and Hecla.

Agent-only online wholesaler Excite Holidays said it has upgraded its technology by making it easier to navigate its website on iPads.

The company said 15% of agents already book Excite accommodation and activities via an iPad.

"Travel agents nowadays aren't always bound to the desk and require alternative ways to access the internet," chief executive George Papaioannou. "We have now made it accessible for agents who are on the road constantly."

Airline alliance Skyteam has opened a new lounge at Istanbul's Ataturk International Airport. It is available for Elite Plus, first and business class passengers flying on any on the alliance's 10 airlines serving Istanbul.

Skyteam predict the lounge will serve around 70,000 passengers each year.

Garuda has taken delivery of its newest Boeing 777-300ER with the aircraft featuring the airline's new first class service.

The carrier's first B777-300 will operate between Jakarta and Jeddah from July 9. In November two more 777s will arrive and ply the Sydney-Jakarta-London route.
