Virgin Australia will add three weekly return services between Perth and Karratha from July 1, taking the number of flights to 34 per week.
The additional 98-seat Embraer 190 services will operate on a Monday, Wednesday and Thursday and form part of the carrier's plan to expand regional services following the acquisition of Skywest.
"Following the recent integration of Skywest Airlines we now have a strong West Australian base and focus which enables us to quickly identify and respond to growth opportunities in the region, particularly in the high growth fly-in-fly-out markets," Virgin Australia Regional Airlines group executive Merren McArthur said.
"We will continue to review market demand and look forward to growing our regional services right across Australia."
Adventure World has claimed annual sales growth to Afica of 30% with executive general manager Andrew Mulholland attributing some of the growth to a "fast expanding repertoire of affordable destinations".
Emitrates has launched sale fares to London from Australia during peak season to mark the recent signing of a two-year deal with VisitBritain.
Return economy fares for travel between July 12 and August 15 start at $2292 from Perth, $2334 from Melbourne, $2298 from Adelaide, $2309 from Sydney and $2357 from Brisbane. Bookings must be made by June 17.
Meanwhile, Emirates will operate an A380 on one of its double daily Dubai-Zurich flights from January 1.
