A name change has become the final stage of a transformation process for Mercure's Sydney Airport property.

The property, located minutes from the international terminal, is now called Mercure Sydney International Airport following the refurbishment of its guest rooms.

 

Etihad has struck a codeshare agreement with Korean Air, bringing to 46 the number of codeshares operated by the Abu Dhabi-based carrier.

The first phase of the cooperation, which comes into effect on July 22, will see Korean Air place its KE code on daily Etihad flights between Seoul Incheon and Abu Dhabi.

 

The Caravan and Camping Industry Association of NSW has become the official sponsor of the Tourism Industry Council of NSW's Tourism in Focus event to take place from July 28 to August 3 at Randwick Racecourse.

 

Travelport and Sydney-based travel management company Maxim's Travel have signed a long-term agreement for global distribution services.

Ina ddition, Maxim's will join the Travelport Developer Network which will see it collaborate with the technology firm to develop new applications.

 

Youth operator Topdeck is discounting selected adventures through Australia and New Zealand by up to 25% when booked by July 31.

Under the offer, its 7-day Outback Gem Reverse from Alice Springs to Adelaide is priced from $716 per person, while its 14-day Island Suntanner Reverse from Cairns to Sydney is priced from $2257 per person.

 

For three weeks, Excite Holidays is offering up to 40% of the normal retail price for six properties in Japan.

Hilton Tokyo, Shiba Park Tokyo, Akasaka Excel Hotel Tokyo, New Miyako Kyoto, Ana Crowne Plaza Hotel Kyoto and Anan Crowne Plaza Osaka are all included in the special deal.

Bookings should be made by August 4 for travel until March 31.
