Qantas will remove its code from a range of Jetstar-operated domestic flights with immediate effect in a bid to “increase transparency” in the booking process.
The airline will take its code off Jetstar services between Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth.
A statement said the move is to enable customers "to clearly identify whether they will be travelling on Qantas or a Jetstar-operated service".
Travel agents will still be able to view the Qantas flights in the schedule, although availability will show as zero.
"This will ensure that customers with existing bookings on Qantas codeshare services do not require ticket re-issuance and will be able to travel as planned," the statement said.
