Singapore Airlines will operate a second daily A380 service between Melbourne and Singapore from August, in line with ongoing increases to its Australian services.
Flight SQ218 from Melbourne to Singapore will switch from a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft to the superjumbo on August 16, while SQ217 from Singapore to Melbourne will make the switch on August 16.
“By offering a second A380 from Melbourne to Singapore, customers are able to experience the flagship of the airline’s fleet through to many of its Asian destinations, as well as to daytime flights to London Heathrow and Frankfurt,” a statement from the airline said.
The increase follows flight increases on Singapore Airlines’ Brisbane and Adelaide routes.
