Silversea Cruises has called its second expedition ship Silver Galapagos with 2013 voyages set to go on sale next month.
The luxury cruise line added the 100-passenger vessel to its fleet in June after acquiring the ship’s parent company, Ecuador-based Canodros.
It is still operating as the Galapagos Explorer II and will take the new name after a major refurbishment in September next year.
The name is consistent with Silversea’s six other liners which carry the Silver name.
The Silver Galapagos will begin operating two new seven day itineraries from late September 2013. Both voyages will start and finish at Baltra Island, one operating across the west, south and east islands and the other tracing a course to the north east, central and south east islands.
They will go on sale in mid November.
