Singapore Airlines will operate its last Boeing 747 service this weekend, with a flight from Melbourne to Singapore on March 25.
Regional vice-president South West Pacific Subhas Menon said the aircraft had played an “integral” part in the airline’s history.
To commemorate the retirement of the 747 fleet, passengers travelling on flight SQ238 will be offered a 747 cake at the gate and in the lounge.
