Singapore Airlines has unveiled the new cabins for its first, business and economy class to be progressively rolled out across its routes from September.

Customers using its Singapore-London service will be the first to experience the new product, with other routes to receive the enhanced offering as new aircraft enter service.

The airline is investing US$150 million to introduce the product aboard its eight new Boeing 777-300ERs which will enter its fleet over the coming months.

It will also be introduced on new Airbus A350s scheduled for delivery in the coming years.

Executive vice president commercial Mak Swee Wah underlined the airline's commitment to product innovation and leadership and said the investment is representative of its confidence in the future of premium full-service air travel.

"Special attention has been given to ergonomics, comfort, convenience and design, as well as to our customers' interests and lifestyles," he said.

The new cabins will feature the next generation version of Singapore Airlines' KrisWorld entertainment system as part of a US$400 million agreement signed with Panasonic Avionics in 2012.

"Last year, we introduced Internet and mobile data connectivity services, and with this next generation KrisWorld, customers can expect advanced hardware, an innovative yet intuitive user interface, and a wide selection of thoughtfully curated content to suit our customers' preferences and prevailing trends," senior vice president product and services Tan Pee Teck said.

It wil feature larger screens and video-touch handsets across all classes.

The new first class cabin will feature seats with a fixed-back shell design with curved side panels to ensure personal space and added privacy. It will be 35 inches in width and features an increased bed length of 82 inches.

""

The new business class will offer a greater recline of 132 degrees and will feature an improved ergonomic seat cushion. When fully-flat it will measure 79 inches in length.

""

The new economy class will feature additional space and legroom.
