Solstice to return to Australia

Celebrity Cruises has confirmed Celebrity Solstice will return down under in October 2013 to be based in Australia for its second cruise season.

The 2850-guest superliner will arrive for its maiden Australian season this November.
Commercial manager Adam Armstrong said there had been a good local response to Solstice’s “modern luxury” style of cruising.
“So far, Australian guests have shown that they are very keen to experience her unique features and we have broadened her itineraries even further when she returns in 2013/14,” he said.
The liner will primarily offer 12 and 14-night New Zealand cruises between Sydney and Auckland. In addition, its 2013/14 season will include a 35-night circumnavigation of Australia and New Zealand, two Pacific Island cruises and a three-night weekend sampler cruise.
Bookings will open on April 4.
Solstice will be joined in Australian waters by sister ship Celebrity Millennium at the start of its second Asian season in late 2013.
Voyages will include an 18-night cruise from Hawaii to Australia at the start of the season and a 17-night cruise between Sydney and Singapore in November 2013. Bookings for these itineraries will open on April 18.
Millennium will undergo a refurbishment in May this year to bring it in line with the newest Solstice Class ships.
