SriLankan Airlines will join Oneworld late next year, the alliance has confirmed.
Its addition will bring three new destinations, all in southern India, to the Oneworld network, expanding its global coverage to 850 destinations in more than 150 countries.

Cathay Pacific will serve as its sponsor, supporting the carrier through the implementation program.
Cathay chief executive John Slosar described the new member as a “fine candidate” for the alliance.
